Mexican sculpture workshop

A unique opportunity to take part in a workshop led by Mexican ceramic artist Tiburcio Soteno and his son Israel. Soteno makes elaborate clay sculptures known as ‘trees of life’. Includes a viewing of some of Soteno’s pieces from the Museum’s collection.

¡Viva Mexico! Professional Development Days for Artists

Two days of creative professional development for artists and ceramicists. Working with Specialists Chloë Sayer, Tiburcio & Israel Soteno, Sue Flowers (Green Close Studios) and Sue Ashworth, (Lancashire Museums). Artists will have the opportunity to learn directly from artists, ceramicists, curators and collectors about the specific context of Mexican art and craft. Both days will include practical creative making sessions. Subsidised cost £50 for two full days including lunch. Contact the studios for further information.
